16” CL Custom Strip Down Ranch Roper

Ok, we just had to jump on the “Stripped Down” bandwagon and we are sure glad we did. This saddle was fun to build and it has such a nice, punchy look. Not only is it sharp, this one is built to work. CL Custom, which is Brassy Bit Tack’s saddle building brand, from right here in Minnesota. Proudly made with the best materials. Built on an Olin Young ranch roper tree, fitting a wide Full QH bars that measures 7.75″ with a ton of flare and plenty of rock. This one is built to fit an athletic, stout horse well. On a 16.5″ tree, however measures and fits like a 16″ finished. We built this one with a leggy rider in mind, as too many saddles can’t support riders who are all leg. These fenders do offer plenty of adjustment, are pre-turned, holes are lined, and finished off with a set of aluminum wrapped oak bell stirrups. Strip down design with fenders coming directly from the tree, over the jockeys to give your leg more mobility and movement, allowing the fenders to swing more freely, without pinching. Rigging is set in skirt on the jockeys, securing the saddle well, while being a bit set back to open up the shoulder. Eq cut skirt to reduce bulk under your leg. All stainless hardware. Fully roughed out natural oiled Hermann Oak leather in a heavier ounce, reinforced stitching, and lined with just a bit of stamping along the border. Shorter, 27″ skirt, 3″ roper horn, 3″ cantle. Comes rigged. Weighs 38lbs. This is a heavy duty, punchy saddle that is sure to last.
