While this is an older saddle, it is a great example of quality tack lasts and doesn’t need to cost a fortune. This is an older Simco Saddle, which is still an American made saddle. Clearly built with weight in mind, which the shortest skirt possible and made on a ralide tree, weighting in at just 22lbs. Measures and fits true to 15.5″ and a slightly raised twist and moderate cantle. While not offering the deepest seat, the suede seat and jockeys make this one plenty grippy and secure. On true Semi bars, measuring 6″ with a bit of flare, decent clearance, and just a bit of rock through the bars. Fenders have a crazy amount of adjustment, going short enough to be youth friendly, making this an affordable option for a kiddo to grow with them. The skirt is VERY short at just 23″. Slightly dropped and set back rigging, 3″ horn and cantle. This is an older saddle and shows signs of being someone’s favorite saddle in the from of scuffs, a few scrapes and spots of discoloration. There is very minor separation at the rigging plate, on the side by the skirt but is very minor and still secure. At this price, this nice saddle is ready for more adventures.
