Here is a lovely saddle by English saddler Ainsley, made before many of their saddles became mass produced. This one has all the look of an English made saddle. Nice quality leather, deeper seat, deep gussets, and wider flap. This one, despite its age, is a very modern look and is in very good used condition. Measuring and fitting true to 17.5″ with a narrow twist and wider seat. This Vanguard Popular model was built with upper level dressage riders in mind. It has a long, moderate knee block, low profile knee rolls, longer billets and hunter style seat. This one is a Medium Wide (#3) fit, measuring 6″. Despite its wide gullet measurement, fits like a MW with shoulder gussets, upright and narrower channel, and 3″ wide gussets. 17″ flap, perfect for a leggy rider. This is a lovely saddle and an even better price! Billets have started to separate, but do not impact the security of the saddle. A simple stitch is all that it needs. Wool flocked.
