If you ask may riders their opinions of an All Purpose saddle…they will likely laugh and say, “do you mean, no purpose?!” Well, this Stubben proves all those nay sayers wrong! This is an 18″ Stubben Scandica, one of Stubben’s most popular models. Offering a bit of padding over the jockeys, a deep seat without compromising a narrow twist, finished off with a low gusset that offers an incredible close contact feel. Measures and fits true to 18″. Technically an All Purpose Saddle, but is more than welcome in its look and flap length in the dressage arena. Offering Stubben’s VSD flaps, which is a semi-forward flap and DL, meaning dressage length. Flaps measure 15″, with a nice knee roll and moderate/long block that stabilizes its rider’s leg well without being confining. Plenty of block to pop over some jumps. 32cm per the serial number, which is Stubben’s Wide. In our opinion, this fits WIDE, with a more “U” shaped tree than we usually see from a Stubben. The gullet measure wide at 5.75″, with the tree shape being a great option for a rounder shoulder and top line. Has a wide channel, which will support a wider and sprung back well. Short billets. Very short panel at just 20.5″ and is wool flocked. What sets this saddle aside is the condition. Its pristine, with hardly a mark on the billets, stored well, and looks straight out of a show room. Maybe showing a mark or two, but likely more from storage than actual use. Comes with a Stubben cover. This is such as NICE saddle!
