Ok, let’s be real, this pad is far from pretty. In fact, it’s been well loved. It has wear, however, it was used by someone who was committed to getting every single dollar out of it and has been well cared for. From Mattes’ Platinum line of pads, made for County Saddlery, with full sheepskin built in half pad to not only offer padding for your horse, but to also wick sweat. Is shim-able with velcro pockets under the sheepskin to add shims. Does NOT come with shims. Ok, let’s talk about why its not very pretty. There is faint staining on the outside, near the billet keepers there is quite a bit of wear. Tabs have been cut. Underside shows minor staining, but has mainly been used with liner. Velcro on the shim pockets have weakened. The wool itself is very good. Marked Large, but we feel it fits like a Medium. 21†spine and 22†drop. Again, but still has life left in it!
