Here is a nice, vintage belt buckle that has such a nice look! This is an older buckle, from Shades of the West of Scottsdale, AZ. Yes, that Shades of the West! Also marked Lee and Sterling, attributed to incredible Navajo silversmith Thomas Lee, whose “L” is quite identifiable. Most of his silver work is simply marked with an “L” when not made with Shades of the West. The symbol is the first silver hallmark used by Shades of the West. It can be a bit challenging to date the earlier hallmark, but is likely from the 1970’s. Marked sterling. Plenty of silver weight to this one! Great, Art Deco flare with the inlayed lines but still having a concho look. Smaller buckle. In stunning condition! Measures 2″ long by 1 1/1″ wide. Will fit up to a 1″ belt/strap. This is truly a vintage item, showing minor age appropriate tarnish/patina. Lovely buckle! Wear it or add it to a collection.
